IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

Using a pair of dice and Mozart's rulebook for composing minuets,
a composer reconstitutes one of Mozart's minuets that may never have
been heard before.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

Looking for some sort of inspiration for this topic, I "surfed"
the Net starting with "Yahoo." There I found:
Mozart's Musikalisches Wurfelspiel. A combination of an ancient form
of entertainment (i.e. dice) and fine arts (music). This Web page
provided me with a a GIF image of a music score for a Mozart minuet
reconstituted from his rulebook. In addition, a MIDI file was also
produced and is included in the "zip" file (mozart.mid).

The score image became the texture map for the sheet music that is
the center of the composition. I used Spatch to create the lamp,
ink bottle, and pen. The actual rule book is a CSG object, as is the
desk protector, dice, and glasses. I used LView Pro to add some text
to the score; the text on the book was created using povray and a
TrueType Font "Old English" (not included in "zip" file).
