IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

The Money Tree is something I've jokingly looked for in real life, but couldn't.
So I decided to create my own in "POV-Life". The Unbelievable part of this
scene is that the yard this tree is growing in is up for sale, yet nobody has
bought it yet. It is an image of the future where even a money tree is not
worth much, Money has lost its value! You can take that as a sign of inflation
or as a destruction of the USA as a global power etc.

I would like to believe that it is showing that money has lost its value, not
because of the above mentioned reasons, but that money is not needed. Society
has learned that there are more important things in life than the pursuit of
money. Such as spirituality, family, and friendship.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

This is my first submission and my first completed scene in POV-RAY. I've done a
few partial/practice scenes before attempting this one. I tried to get one for
the History topic, but I bit of more than I could chew and didn't come close to
completing it for last month. I looked at a lot of the POV files in the IRTC
web page to get basic understanding of the very complicated scenes. I used
quite a few of them as examples as I tried to duplicate similar effects in my
scene.

I only used POV-RAY to create this scene. There are 6,000 blades of gras! Two
images were used in the creation of this scene, the money is a scan of a 20
dollar bill and the "for sale sign" was created in PaintShop Pro. It took me
1.5 months to play with and create the final scene mainly during lunch at work
and quite a few nights, late into the night. I just made the deadline by 30
minutes!!!

The building was basic CSG and primary shapes, there fore the scene file is very
messy and long. The textures and colors were taken from the basic ones supplied
with POV and I made some minor adjustments to obtain the final look.
