IMAGE DESCRIPTION: 

Someone walked this way, and left marks on the land.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 

        The image uses 4 terrain objects, for the trees in the distance, for the
land in the distance, for the land up close, and for the trail.  
        To make the foot prints I scanned in the bottom of my Teva, fixed the
image up in Painter 5, and then turned it into a symmetric lattice in Bryce.  I
used boolean modeling to put the imprints into the ground.  
        The tree models came with Bryce, but I had to modify them to give the
trunk a different color.  The rock was made using the random rock creator.
        All the textures were made specificly for the scene in the deep texture
editor.
        It took about 10 hours to set up. It only has 20 objects, but it has 25
million polygons because of the detail of the objects.  I could have gotten by
with much less, but there was no reason.
