IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
I like the subtle. The most frightening things I've ever
seen are
those that don't hit you over the head, and I was trying for this. A clue to my
thinking
can be found in the painting on the wall. Extra points for anyone who can
identify it.
I tried to create a very mundane, even boring image, with a small twist.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

I used sPatch to create the more complex images, such as the people and the
rose. I then
export those to PovRay, where I turn them into include files. On of the images
in the
photographs on the mantle were taken with a digital camera, the other was
scanned from a
standard photograph. They were cleaned and cropped in PaintShop Pro, then
exported to the
PovRay include directory, from where they were mapped onto the polygons used in
the image.
Everything else was done soley in PovRay. No after editing of any kind was
used, and no
pixels were harmed in the making of this image.
