IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

There is a party going on at the old mansion and somebody has to go down in the
cellar to get some more wine. Suddenly there is a cold wind, and this monk
appears, with a sword in his hand.
The mansion was buildt on the site of an ancient monastery, where a brotherhood
of warrior monks had their home. This particular monk was killed under an
attack of vikings, and appears whenever somebody with Norwegian blood comes
near.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

The walls with openings were created in sPatch and exported as .dxf, then
imported into Simply 3D (S3D) and put together with two S3D floor objects
(floor and ceiling) to form the room. The door is a S3D wall object. Walls,
floor, ceiling and door has standard S3D textures.
The stones that form the actual openings are not part of the walls, but separate
sPatch objects with a stone texture made by me in Picture Publisher.
The skull was found on the internet, at http://www.shilla.org/ where there is a
collection of S3D objects.
The clothing and sword were modelled in sPatch and exported as .dxf and given
standard S3D textures, so was the doorhandle.
All other objects were modelled from primitives in S3D Of special interest may
be the flame. It consists of two modified cones placed one inside the other,
both are partly transparent, and with a light source in the middle. This light
source lights up most of the scene, the overall light is then adjusted with
another light behind the camera, with shadows turned off.
