IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

This shows the contrast between the possibilities of making a photo and
computer graphics. Because I come from the technical side I want to show
things you normally can't see.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

All modelling was done in Rhinoceros 3D. All is very detailed, exact
dimensions, the threads are real threads, the sieves have real holes
and so on.
The materials are fine tuned materials from Morays library, some were
built from scratch. Only the wallpaper is an image.
As always when making an image the time spent for modelling was much
shorter then for setting up the scene an lightning. Some test renders,
the tweaking and small changes took their time too.
Normally, when the goal is to have an image, I take Photoshop for small
changes. That's often much faster than tracing. But this image is pure
render output, Photoshop was used for JPGing only.
