IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

During my last holiday in Austria I visited a small dome (Gurktal) which is
famous for the gravechamber of the holy Hedda.
This is a picture of this "Crypt of the 100 columns". I was able to attend a
small worship service (1 priest and two elder women)
for the holy woman, which was so impressive, that I decided to render the crypt.
So the itention was, to have it as close to the
original details as possible.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

Nothing special about the creation of this. The columns are simple objects, the
only problem was to figure out the proper
difference properties (tori) of the ceiling.
The crucifix was done with the help of Blobman, for the wall texture I
achknowledge the basic use of the beautiful "bricks.inc" written by
Jeff Lee <shipbrk@gate.net>. The texture of the ceiling is a modified "TStone"
with no phongs and some bump mapping.
The picture on the second altar is not original, I put there the drawing "The
blessed virgin punishes her child" by Max Ernst.
I rendered this in 4000x3000, since I wanted to have it as poster vor my flat.
Radiosity is used, all the lamps are area-lights with
distance attenuation, Therefore it took some time to render it.

Due to a harddisk crash, I do no longer have the complete list of
include-files.
