IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

Once, the giant fortress on Silverfield was the most powerful one in the area.
The fortress ruled the surrounding area for the Tropolians. They were so proud
of their fortress, that their pride blinded their reason, and suddenly,
Dingonesians had attacked the fortress and killed every man.

Now, the remains of the fortress is left as a silent witness of a battle once
fought ....

... and lost.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

The fortress itself is done in CSG. The Dragon is a model by "Platinum" from 3D
Cafe. The cannons were modeled in Hamapatch. The moss is blobs shrunk in the z
axis, decorated with plants from 3D Cafe (unknown maker). The ground is a
heightfield, made by myself for once ;-). Grass is made with MGrass macro /
include by the legendary Gilles Tran :-). Finally the skeleton is also from 3D
Cafe, with again an unknown maker. The arrows are CSG, so is the drawbridge,
gate and chains. All textures are POV ones, except the one for the cannons and
chains, which unfortunately was not very successful. The fog is made with ...
well ... the fog keyword! There are two pointlights situated to the right and
left in front of the camera, very low - that created a nice looking scene IMO.

This is my first entry to the IRTC. And you must excuse me of writing so little
because it is now 1 1/2 hours before deadline and I've been pissing my pants
these last few hours, being frightened if the rendering would take too long
time. That is also why i made pointlights instead of area lights. If I would go
for area lights, which I originally did, the rendering wouldn't finish until
lunch tomorrow, and that's too late.

Finally, I say thanks for me, now I'm gonna go to sleep. Thanks to my friend who
owns a much more powerful PC than mine, and for racing my rendering (just to
make sure one of us finished in time - i won!!!!). Thanks to my dad for
sticking out of my room and doing as little as possible.
