IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

A fairly literal adaptation of the contest topic ;)
If you think about it, in all our history the time in which this snowman exists
is less than the blink of an eye. This creation can only last a day or so,
eventually the sun will come out and melt this poor little fella, and then
there will be no getting back this moment...

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

Basically here's how the main objects were made:
>Snowman, rocks: spheres with unique displacemnt for imperfections.
>Scarf: lofted spline, took a lot of editing to sit right.
>Foreground: Plane with hand painted displacement to get area around snowman and
hut right.
>Hut: chamfered boxes with some distortion for pretty much all of the objects.
>Trees: Made one from an edited cone, arrayed it many times then moved them all
around to make it look more random. Used a Patch as the background hill so I
could deform the trees to the hillside.
