IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

The guy named Pertti is moving out of his apartment, and he has only one box and
lights left to move. He's standing on the wall
and lifting the box with he's mental powers.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

At the moment I read the topic, I had the idea. I started by making the room,
the box and one light. Then I realized that the room was way too small, and
enlarged it.
Next I created Pertti; he's made of 3 boxes (torso and feet), 1 sphere (head), 1
cylinder (neck) and 4 sphere-sweeps (hands and legs). Then I started to greate
some glowing
around the box. The glow is made with another box, it took some time to create
working texture, which is somehow transparent, reflecting and clearly visible
at the same time.
Then I made another light, 'cause the shadows had too big role on the scene, and
the glow's texture failed again ;), and I had to find it again, this time
better than earlier.
Next I started to get the lights look more realistic. For a while I had the
lampshades in two floating pieces. But once again, some try-and-learn work made
it's job, and I
got the lampshades I like (yeah, for once I like my scene's lights :). The scene
uses focal blur to get the room look bigger, and radiosity to make light
better.
I'll add the evolution of the scene to my website, when the results of this
round are clear.
