IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

This is my humble tribute to minimalist music.
I'm serious! I admit, Maestro Egon de Umanota can remind you something like a
Tex Avery's character, but I'm sure he's the most talented musician in his
particular genre, and one of the greatest musical instruments inventors of the
world.
Here, the eye of my raytracer had surprised him while he was goin' to play his
delightful composition "Umanota Song n. 100101" on a special grand piano of his
own design.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

Maestro Umanota has been created with subdivision surfaces.
I made hair with multiple emitter of static particles, using "vect" value.
Grand "Umanota" Piano is entirely modeled with polygons, mega-hammer included
(only the "treble clef"-shaped object and piano string are bezier splines with
circle-curves used as "bevel-objects").
The scene is illuminated by seven light sources.
Main is a spot light that cast shadows.
Four small-distance area lights to emphasize musical score, superkey, poster and
white shirt of Maestro Umanota.
Other two lights added to correct the look of grand piano and general appearance
of the scene.
Textures and materials: built-in Blender material settings except for a bump
image map for the shirt, other image maps for poster and score. Wood texture of
floor created with Wood Workshop version 1.
