IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

The old and new or even futuristic in architecture are perhaps not so far apart
as the distance in this image suggets.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

Pillars and blocks, skyscrapers and adornments, were all mesh modeled as .3ds
files in Rhino 2.0 and exported to Bryce. All textures are stock Bryce
textures. The renderer was set for depth-of-field, focused upon the ruins, to
make the buildings in the background out of focus.
I wanted some foliage and greenery in the foreground and in the gap between the
old and new, but time prevented me from making those and I did not want to use
the stock plants in Bryce.
