It's just fire versus ice.


DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 


Ice Cube:
I've started with a cube with 4 subdivisions. Then I've moved the points of the
center of the faces.
Next I've made a mesh smooth to the cube. And at last a noise to the vertex.
For the material I've used a raytraced material with turbulence transparency and
an interior white fog.
And I've added a little reflection.

Fire:
I've used an sphere gizmo and the fire effect.

Table:
It's only a plane with a diffuse and bump wooden map.

Render:
I've used the "Mental ray" render to create the caustics effect.
