IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

Well, this image doesn't really depict 'speed' as such, and as is, it's really
my little celebration of the worlds fastest land animal. My first attempt that
I showed in p.b.i for advice, really was a depiction of speed and the
magnificent cheetah, (look for "Whoooosh!") but it failed abysmally in that the
model wasn't quite right, (it wasn't bad, but had quite a few noticeable flaws
which have now hopefully been fixed), and the reference image that I used (from
the 'net) to generate it, was a fake, so was there was no way I was going to
develop that image further for this topic.

   Hmm...

Anyway, I couldn't put my cheetah model to waste and thought about this scene,
so I hope you like it.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

I can't really say much here because this image was generated by pure Wings
modeling, but the one thing that I really did enjoy is that I learnt a fair bit
about using .png images for transparent image_maps. I love this concept, and
still have a lot to learn about how to produce overlaying textures, and how
'things' should look like in 'real life', but it's something that I want to
develop further to the full.

And last but not least, thanks goes to Thomas de Groot for his sand texture.

Anyway, good luck all and happy New Year! :o)

    Steve
