IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
How can I show speed or motion in an image. It became a
wheel embedded in the bodywork of a fast car speeding by. You can just barely
see the brake-disk, and the tire is fairly whashed out. But then it is speed it
is all about.
The idea was to translate speed by use of transparancy for the blurry motion
of an car. I thought it would be nicer to keep the object simple. So i just
focused on the wheel and a small part of the car. You can see the whole car
with another viewpoint, you won't get very far in it.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
I started the image by taking some
pictures of my car. A tire and rim were made in povray. This looked nice. Then
I had to experiment withe the rotation of the wheel the amount of transparency
and the translation of the car. After several dozen traces I found one. Then
the bodywork of the car was added. For the reflection of the car I used a stone
wall behind the camera. And this became the picture.
Oke, I added my name and timestamp afterwards with the gimp.
But that was all.
